Kuravilangad, Kerala – The 9th edition of the Kuravilangad Krupabhishekam Bible Convention 2024 has officially begun, with the spiritual event being held at the historic Major Archiepiscopal Marth Mariam Archdeacon Pilgrimage Church. The convention, running from Wednesday, August 28th to Sunday, September 1st, 2024, takes place daily from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The convention is being led by the renowned Rev. Fr. Dominic Valanmanal, Director of the Marian Meditation Centre, Anakkara, an international preacher, and a minister of deliverance. The event commenced with the recitation of the Rosary at 4:00 pm, followed by the inauguration ceremony led by Msgr. Rev. Fr. Joseph Thadahil. The opening day included the preaching of the word, the anointing of grace, and a divine mercy service.
H. E. Bishop Joseph Kallarangat of the Pala Diocese is expected to participate in the convention, further highlighting the significance of this spiritual gathering. Special facilities have been arranged for confession and spiritual sharing to cater to the needs of the devotees.
The Major Archiepiscopal Marth Mariam Archdeacon Pilgrimage Church, also known as St. Mary’s Church, is a site of great reverence, believed to have been established in 105 A.D. The church holds a deep spiritual significance, especially among the Syro-Malabar Catholic community.
For the convenience of the large number of devotees attending, extensive arrangements have been made, including a large pandal and related facilities. The preparations for the convention have been meticulously organized under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Augustine Koottiyaniyil, the Vicar Archpriest of Kuravilangad Church and Rev. Asst. Vicars.
