Thrissur, October 20, 2024 – The Krupabhishekam Youth Retreat, part of the Centenary Convention at St. Mary’s Church, Vendore, was a spiritual powerhouse, leaving youth from across Kerala and beyond deeply renewed and transformed. Led by Rev. Fr. Dominic Valanmanal, Director of Marian Retreat Center, Anakkara, the retreat ignited hearts with the fire of the Holy Spirit, calling young people to rise above life’s trials and live a life of holiness.
With the words of scripture— “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11) — the retreat began at 9:00am with the Rosary, drawing youth closer to Our Blessed Mother. Holy Mass at 9:30am brought forth the healing power of the Eucharist, setting the stage for the day’s transformative experience.
From 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, the church resonated with prayer and praise as Rev. Fr. Dominic Valanmanal led a powerful Deliverance Service. In a world filled with confusion, temptations, and challenges, Rev. Fr. Dominic called the youth to reclaim their identity in Christ, leaving behind the burdens of sin and fear. He ministered with boldness, praying for healing, breaking chains of oppression, and imparting the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Young people from different parts of Kerala and even outside the state attended, seeking deliverance, renewal, and the touch of God. Many testified to experiencing the presence of Jesus in a profound way, with tears of repentance and joy flowing as they surrendered their lives at the altar. The Deliverance Service was a time of spiritual breakthrough, where hearts were set free from anxiety, addiction, and spiritual dryness.
Rev. Fr. Dominic urged the youth to live in the Spirit, reminding them of their calling to be warriors of faith in a world that often pulls them away from God. His message carried a clear and powerful invitation: “Arise and shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you” (Isaiah 60:1).
The Krupabhishekam Youth Retreat, held as part of the convention from October 16 to 20, left an indelible mark on the hearts of the participants, equipping them with the grace to walk in holiness and victory. As they left St. Mary’s Church, they carried the fire of the Holy Spirit, renewed in faith, and ready to live boldly for Christ.
