Marian Retreat Centre
Welcome to Marian Retreat Centre, Anakkara, Kerala, the official retreat centre of the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirapally. Established in the year 2009 as a centre for nurturing catholic spirituality, Marian Retreat Centre has, in the past one and a half decades served millions of souls desperately seeking deliverance and healing. Rev. Fr. Dominic Valanmanal, a Diocesan priest, was chosen by God to establish this centre in the remote hillocks of Western Ghats. Since then Rev. Fr. Dominic is in charge of the Centre that functions with the apostolic blessings of the Bishop of Kanjirapally H. E. Mar Jose Pulickal. Marian is the ideal place for those searching for the ultimate freedom; the freedom that Jesus the Risen Lord offers.
Marian Retreat Centre is dedicated to the maternal protection of Maria Rosa Mystica and its name is synonymous with the spirit of Prayer, Penance, and Reparation, three essential things said by the Maria Rosa Mystica for reclaiming our lost relationship with God.
Chronicle of a Journey:
Marian Retreat Centre‘s journey was one that commenced, carried on and continued under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. God uses humble and unworthy vessels to carry the precious gift of His grace. It was in the year 2009 that the Holy Spirit inspired Rev. Fr. Dominic Valanmanal to take a different path in his pastoral ministry. The Spirit took Rev. Fr. Dominic to a little known and nondescript hamlet called Anakkara, where he set up a centre to help the people to experience the love and mercy of the Lord, with the blessings of Mar Mathew Arackal, then of Kanjirapally.
Gradually people from far and near started flowing to Anakkara. For them Marian Retreat Centre was the last ray of hope in their life. They came in search of healing and deliverance. Holy Spirit anointed Rev. Fr. Dominic with the apostolic Grace of Exorcism to serve them and recapture them from the bondage of the devil.
