Marian Retreat Centre, a charismatic renewal retreat centre, was founded under the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirapally in 2009 by Rev. Fr. Dominic Valanmanal, who serves as its founder and director. Rev. Fr. Dominic is a Catholic priest specially chosen and anointed for the ministry of the Word, Healing, Exorcism and Deliverance. His ministry is highly sought after both in India and abroad, with his anointed ministry of Exorcism and Deliverance through preaching the Word being spread across 96 countries.

In 1995, while on his journey to his spiritual guide, Rev. Fr. Dominic had a profound experience with God, during which God spoke to him through 1 Corinthians 2:2. Wholeheartedly surrendering to this revelation, Rev. Fr. Dominic embarked on an ascetic life, focusing solely on the Word of God. Following this experience, the Holy Spirit anointed him with the Gift of the Word. Through meditation on the Word and radical detachment from the world, God also anointed him with the Gift of Exorcism and Deliverance, leading to numerous healings and evident manifestations throughout his ministries. Despite its remote location, over 1.6 lakhs of people have attended his deliverance and healing grace anointing residential retreat at the Marian Retreat Centre, Anakkara, Idukki, Kerala. Additionally, around five thousand priests and approximately fifteen thousand consecrated individuals have participated in retreats of deliverance at the centre.

Rev. Fr. Dominic’s Deliverance Ministry revolves around the belief in Jesus as the Word of God, emphasizing holiness, ascetic life, the Eucharist as the centre of life, and the intercession of Mother Mary. Over the past six years, many young people have been inspired to follow his ascetic lifestyle in pursuit of receiving the anointing of the Word. They commit to one year of radical detachment and learning the Word, after which they embark on missions of grace for deliverance and preaching ministry. To date, more than a hundred and fifty young individuals have completed this missionary formation.

Throughout his twenty-five years of priesthood, Rev. Fr. Dominic has been miraculously utilized for preaching and deliverance ministry within the global Catholic Church. During his sermons, Adoration, Holy Eucharist, and worship sessions, manifestations of deliverance and healing often occur, echoing the Biblical promise found in Matthew 8:16
